ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This song is a very special creation. Co-written by Denis Richard and Zachary Richard during the filming of "Toujours Batailleur", (the Bellefeuille Production documentary which explores the persistence of Acadian identity more than 250 years after the Deportation of the Acadians), the song is a tribute to the power of love in overcoming adversity. Victims of the the largest ethnic cleansing suffered by people of European descent in the history of North America, the Acadians were scattered to the wind. Their descendants today comprise the Acadian communities of Canada and the Cajuns (Cadiens) of Louisiana. The song speaks of the locket (médaillon) and the memory of his lover which the singer holds dear.
