ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Win Win is a mysterious American rock & roll band whose catalog was unearthed in late 2018 by musicologists excavating Marc Bolan’s secret tomb hidden in a catacomb below Golders Green Crematorium in London.

No one knows why it was there and very little is known about the members of WinWin. Some say Bolan, who was an avid spiritualist and occultist, was abducted by aliens on more than one occasion. This theory posits the possibility that Bolan, like Jimi Hendrix, Randy Rhodes, D Boone, Prince and other visionaries, had been taken aboard a spacecraft where musical secrets were divulged through, among other methods, time travel. It is said Bolan travelled with these aliens to 1983 where he found WinWin playing in a near empty Pittsburgh dive bar. So inspired was he by their music that he recorded these 14 songs and took the recordings back to 1977 where he planned to re-record and release them under his own name. Tragically, he died in car crash (others say the aliens took him) and these recordings have remained hidden until today.

The songs cover a variety of topics from a pot smoking kleptomaniac Bigfoot(Bigfoot and Me) to a love for Roxy Music(Roxy Music)) and display an astounding breadth of musical styles from glam stompers to the buzz saw of punk rock.

These songs have been cryogenically preserved, waiting 40 years for the right time to be unearthed and it just so happens…

… that time is now.

The search for the surviving members of WinWin - and more music - continues, but for now enjoy these incredible songs and relish the mystery of WinWin.
