ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
'Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor' was composed using the words of Emma Lazarus that appear on the Statue of Liberty. The song has been sung and performed all over the United States, and is especially popular now, with all the political stigma against immigration. Barbara Klaskin Silberg wrote the song to honor her grandparents who immigrated to this country in the last century. Mrs. Silberg, in addition to being a songwriter, is the director of The West Los Angeles Children's Choir. You can read more about her and the choir at www.MrsMusic.com.
