Album Notes
My music is just a reflection of all the styles I enjoy listening and/or playing there for; I have a long list of influences. But basically I listen to almost all types of music. I worked for over 30 years with pop, rock, balad, jazz, latin, reggae, classical, fusion & world music artist or bands. That has been a very important part of my growth as a musician and a real blessing as a person.
When I sit down to compose it usually turns out to be instrumental music. I guess that is because I have worked on tour and in the studio with so many great singers that my mind just wants to go in the other direction. Plus, I have the highest respect for vocalist and the craft of putting lyrics to a melody. Music has been extremely good to me, thank God. Ive been around the globe several times including many remote or exotic places. I feel that this is also reflected in my music. After all, we tend to express what we live thru it. Also, In this fase of my life I'm enjoying the fact that I finally have a nice sounding studio to track my drums & bass right at home. So I feel compelled to make as much music as possible and just put it out there. I never got around to that for many many years because I was always on tour or recording for someone else. But I thank the lord cause this is the right time and I'm enjoying it.
