Album Notes
Victoria Jackson, formerly a member of the Saturday Night Live ensemble, delights young audiences with her sunny renditions of classic American songs. In her debut children's recording, Victoria lends her unique voice and sense of humor to old time hits such as "By The Beautiful Sea", "When The Red Red Robin Comes Bob Bob Bobbin' Along" (joined by a bobbin' 4-part vocal group) "Button Up Your Overcoat" (backed by McGuire- sisters type harmony) "Pack Up Your Troubles In Your Old Kit Bag" (with marching band, whistlers and children's chorus) and 8 more wonderful tunes from years gone by.

happy and cozy feelgood music, solid arrangements, not childish at all
If you like cheerfull happy songs with good harmony's and acoustic arrangements; this one will suite you. The recording sounds bright and balanced. The clarinet for example in some of the songs is very effective and nice. The backing vocals are warm and swinging. Maybe this cd was mend for children but it's not childish at all. Did I mention humour yet?
