UZEB ¨The Last Concert¨
Recorded at salle Wilfrid Pelletier of Place des Arts
July 6, 1991 During the 12th edition of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal

ATTENTION to all UZEB fans ¨ one time/one time only ¨. To commemorate UZEB`s 25th anniversary. This DVD is the only official live concert footage ever released or to ever be released by the band. Originally recorded at Salle Wilfred Pelletier in 1991 during the 12th edition of the Montreal jazz Festival. No expense was spared for this outstanding production by the original producers of the event, Spectra/Montreal Jazz Festival. Beautifully filmed, recorded and mixed with state of the art facilities. The High definition images combined with ¨kick-ass¨ sound and a spirited, must-see performance, makes this concert a thrill to experience. UZEB was at the height of their career, having just completed a two year world tour before performing this concert. Truly confirms why the band was such a great Fusion ensemble!
Digitally re-mastered on 5.1 surround, so you can ¨RE-LIVE¨ it.

Initially formed during the late '70s, Montreal’s UZEB was one of the most popular, admired and enduring groups in fusion history. Comprised of guitarist Michel Cusson, bassist Alain Caron and drummer Paul Brochu, UZEB released 10 albums, played to countless audiences worldwide and sold over 500,000 albums. The group split-up in 1992. To applaud their 15 years together, the group performed one last huge concert during that year's Montreal Jazz Festival. To say the group was popular in its hometown was an understatement—the show was attended by 96,000 people.

- Recognised by Down Beat magazine as one of the best electric jazz bands of the decade.
- UZEB received nine Felix Awards
- Best Jazz Album (1983-84-86-87-90-91)
- Best Group (1984-89)
- Most Recognised Artist Abroad (1990)
- Gemini Award For Best Original Score (1989)
- SOCAN Award and
- Oscar Peterson Lifetime Achievement Award (1991).

Il fait bon revoir sur ce DVD un brillant témoignage d'UZEB au sommet de sa forme avec ses amis invités à la Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier en juillet 91»

Happily, The Title Is No Longer Accurate
Right now (July 2017) UZEB is on a world Reunion Tour. Their July 13 concert in Tel Aviv was a great success.; the applause at the end lasted over two minutes. Don't miss them if they play near you.
