ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
UGK were wildly popular down South and on the West Coast, but little more than a blip on the screen to East Coast heads until Jay-Z invited Pimp C and Bun B to beat him at his own flow on 1999's "Big Pimpin'." Just because a certain demographic has slept doesn't mean that UGK ain't 'bout it--the Kingz have been laying down their own particular brand of G-crunk for more than 10 years now. Akin to fellow Texans the Geto Boys, UGK's sound is more spare and noirish than your average Southern Bounce crew. Featuring the laid-back flow and gangsta lean production fans have come to expect, Dirty Money is their best release to date. Contentwise, it's the same old "money, macks, and mamis," but UGK do it better than most. "Holdin Na," featuring C-Note, utilizes an unexpected Beastie Boys sample, "Ain't That a Bitch," with rapper Devin (The Dude), and Big Gip's incendiary vocals help make "Don't Say S--t" the album's standout track. --Rebecca Levine

THE 3 SONGS ON HERE ARE SO HARD ,IT MAKES UGK'S OTHER ALBUMS LOOK AS IF THEY ARE RATED P.G. PIMP C(CHAD BUTLER) & BUN-B(BERNARD FREEMAN) SPIT THE GAME ON THE SONGS "MUTHAFUKA AINT MINE" & "PREGNANT P****Y SO HARD I CANT EVEN LISTEN TO IT FOR MORE THAN ONCE A WEEK.THEY DOGGIN THE LADIES SO HARD THAT INSTEAD OF PARENTAL ADVISORY IT SHOULD B RATED X.THE BEATS ARE MORE ON THE TIP OF THEIR 1ST ALBUM OFF OF JIVE RECORDS "TOO HARD TO SWALLOW".I HAVE ALL THE UGK ALBUMS AND ITS A MUST HAVE FOR THE TRILLL ASS G'S OUT THERE. --THE MOBB GOD!!

The first UGK album...
This CD is the bomb. I love Pimp C's southern style and his lyrics are not for the squimish... Bun B rounds it off superbly. This CD isn't that long but it is a classic! Plus very hard to find
