ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
TRAVIS “RANDALL” HUGHES – singer/songwriter/recording artist
Travis “Randall” Hughes has had music in his veins his entire life. Growing up in the countryside in central Florida, his whole family was involved in music, playing instruments and singing on the front porch in their spare time. Travis “Randall” learned to sing and play guitar, eventually writing his own songs (at a very young age). Drums became his go to instrument, and in his early years he became a sought after drummer for many successful bands throughout Florida. Once bitten by the songwriting bug, he spent many hours sitting on his porch writing songs for every occasion that came to mind.
To serve and protect his community, and provide for his family, he became an honored Police Officer Corporal in Auburndale, Florida, and continued making music in his spare time. He is a favorite artist of the acclaimed central Florida, Lundyville Music Hall scene. Entering and winning multiple songwriting contests, with stiff competition from all over Florida, he has also won the hearts of many accomplished and successful artists, who are fans of the Lundyville vibe. One such recording artist is Jim Stafford (hit song singer/songwriter of “Spiders and Snakes”, “Swamp Witch Haddie” fame). Stafford heard Travis “Randall” perform an original song and requested to use it in his stage show. Together they re-wrote a special version of the song (“The Pet Song”) and Jim Stafford now considers it one of his regular concert line-up songs. During a recent Stafford concert, Travis “Randall” was invited (as a special guest) to perform “The Pet Song.”
Other notable mentor/music collaborators (also associated with the Lundyville scene through the Nashville Songwriter’s Association International) are award winning/Nashville hit songwriter, Lisa Palas, who has achieved world class songwriting accolades with songs recorded by top artists in the country music industry such as: Alabama, Reba McEntire, Randy Travis, Lee Greenwood, and The Oak Ridge Boys, to name a few. Another long time creative association for Hughes has been Lundyville’s own powerhouse songwriter, Phil Schneider, host of Lundyville’s coveted acoustic nights, who has co- written with Travis “Randall” for many years, and performs and showcases much of Travis “Randall’s”original music. Hughes feels blessed to be surrounded by this level of expertise and support for his music gifts. He credits the aforementioned partners with his years of growth as an artist.
Travis “Randall” Hughes has written more songs than can easily be counted. In 2016, he came to the attention of Award Winning Hollywood TV producers, Production Partners, Inc., who were in the process of opening a music division to sign and record another talented Hughes brother, Hoyt Hughes. A collaboration of songwriting, music composition, and singing for the new indie label, Cowboy Records (Burbank), has culminated in a brand new solo, single song release for Travis “Randall” coming soon, June 21, 2019.
The upbeat and friendly song about betrayal, is titled “It’s On me,” and is one of many co-writes between Sandy Chanley of Production Partners, and Travis “Randall” Hughes. The song is produced by the team of Keith Truesdell of the same company, and Sandy Chanley, and mixed and mastered at the legendary Studio City Sound, CA, by Grammy winning mixer, Tom Weir. They are extremely proud to present Travis “Randall” Hughes... solo artist debut!
