ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Mr. Schwartz has been one of the principal calliopists on the Delta Queen Steamboat since 1999. He has recaptured the delight and rapture of the calliope on this album and has managed to rekindle those feelings in the many present day steamboat passengers that have had the privilege of attending his concerts. We feel you’ll be delighted with this musical offering.

Camptown Races
This CD will stir your heartstrings and awaken long ago dreams of days on the river. I was privileged to hear this talented artist play the calliope on the Delta Queen last spring. He made me feel like a kid again! Beautiful, historical, magical music... This is the last year the Delta Queen will ply the rivers-- what better way to celebrate her life than to add her music to my collection. Thank you, Tony, for preserving the sweetest sounds of the river.
