ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Charles Mead
Short Bio

Chuck G born Charles Mead to Patricia Lee And Charles Follins he has two sisters and three half sisters two half brothers one of the two brother died due to drug overdose. His biological father never was in the picture. Growing up Chuck's mother married Allen Lee who became a father figure to him. He grew up confused always hoping his father would come back into his life. Growing up he always wanted to play professional football and or become a big time music producer.

Chuck was born September 13, 1977 in the heart of the ghetto on the South side of Chicago Il. He started listening to NWA, The D.O.C Public Enemy, and Boogie Down Production.Chuck also played as a drummer in his high school band where he fell in love with creating his own sound. But later had to quit to pursue his football dreams until he tore his knee up and stop playing.

Chuck loves hip hop r&b classical gospel rap. He always admired artists and producers like Dr. Dre, Timberland, Jermaine Dupri and P. Diddy and said he wants to be an independent producer / CEO of his own label. A lot of people said when Chuck raps he sounds like Juicy J. of 3-6 mafia. And he is a big fan of them as well. He always wanted to produce tracks for likes of Young Jeezy, T.I, Rick Ross, Jay Z and many many more.

The label is called Done Deal Ent. That includes his best friend an intelligent well spoken man the founder and co. owner Mr. T.I.M aka Timothy Retic. They've been doing this music together since 2006 they had they're arguements with one another and they're disagreements and that brought them closer to becoming two of the greatest producer, artist and engineers of their time. They have songs like Gangsta Gangsta, Live my life, Tear da block up, Get ready, Lord guide me, Make it clap, Sometimes, and many more. I believe and truly know that they've covered the genera of hip hop/rap from real life situations, the streets, the club, and politically contious songs. With up tempo hard hitting tracks that just make you want to move your body. Songs like Let me live my life, Another chick, and Make it clap. They also did a couple of gospel songs that made the hairs on my neck stand up. It's true.

Charles Mead aka (Chuck-Genius ) has his ruff ends and run-ins with the law. Did a lot of county jail time but never prison time. He is a nice kind hearted man who loves life his kids mother and sister's. A real funny hyper guy with a sense of humor. He also has a temper if tempted but a heart of gold.
When talking with chuck he made it clear that he is not a rapper he is a producer that writes only if he feels the music and that he is "a very very stubborn and his goals is to turn the over looked unknowns into big time known entertainers and said that he's on a mission for God".

Chuck's beats just has that sound industry artists like Young Jeezy, T.I, Ludakris, Rick Ross Lil wayne Young Joc and many more would make into hits and I can see his creations being feature in a lot of big ticket scores.

Life and beginning of rapping

Early Life

T.I.M. was born to Verlean Retic and John Hicks, has one sister Tanger Retic his father wasn't in the picture. Leaving his mother's strick hand to raise both kids. The Family move several times during his child hood. His Mom became ill with the illness getting the best of his mom. Eventually T.I.M. would become adopted by his aunt and would be uncle Joyce and Eugene Lacey at age twelve. Who had three kids of her own. Provided a stable environment with new rules and regulations. Allowing T.I.M. complete his education and hone in on his talents.

The Retic and Lacey house hold's were a lively one's to say the least. Music was always playing in the background. So Mr. T.I.M. Was influence by the Likes of Smoky Robison, Patti Labelle, Gladys Night and all the greats of that era. Right up until rap became the music of choice. T.I.M. remembers staying into trouble for something that he allegedly did or didn't do. (Lol T.I.M. Laughs)

Person Life & Influences

Tim describes having to sneak and listen to the hottest rap of the day. N.W.A., Ghetto Boys, Too short, B.D.P., Kool Mo Dee, Ice T into the likes of Tupac, JayZ, Biggie Smallz, Young Jeezy, Slim Shady, and 50th cent just to name a few. Solidified T.I.M.'s love for rap and the life of hip hop as it grew into what we know it to be today. Brought up in the church while running the streets. Only encouraged T.I.M. To embrace his love of music and start rapping him self. By age Eighteen he started writing Lyrics
as a hobby with his inner circle of peers. Which were already rapping so the early knowledge on formatting his bars came from them.

In 1995 he enrolled at what would come to be known as Carroll University Majored One year prior he joined the Army National guard for a brief 33 months. Which Is about the same amount of time he spent in college. Shortly after at age 24 had his first child. Finally taking Life and Rap seriously at age 28. Started Done Deal records and launch his first artist. One year later met Producer and best friend Charles Mead. And after 6 yrs. of time and money spent. The two of them took the knowledge gained and set out to get the team a label deal themselves. And quote me if you want ”Listening to there music I'd have to say they'll do that and a whole lot more”.

Controversy

T.I.M. had few run-in's with the law. As he describes it “minor pointless bullshit You know what I mean. The cops don't have anything better to do than try to over charger a brother to get a plea-deal off some overcharged allegations.” T.I.M. spent two years on probation for a theft by fraud of removable property in 2001. In which he was found guilty in being a party to a crime. A couple of overnight lock ups in 2003 and again in 2008. This time T.I.M. Found him self the victim of a 'SNICTH' and Facing Felony Charges of Maintaining and distributing (t.h.c.) of less than 200 Grams. Which was reduced to a mistermenor possession charge. Its these truths about T.I.M. that let the fans know out the gate. That this well spoken, well dress and mild manner man Has a history that is directly
tide to the hood.

Tim has been married for 10 years this July to his college sweet heart, together they have three kids total. Two together and Tim has a son before marriage. Tim is very involved with his children. Needless to say his kids love him and most of his music "That they can listen to""The wife's gone to read this lol…" T.I.M. chimes in.

Sounds Like

With his baritone cords, unorthodox Flows, and unpredictable lyrics. Mr. T.I.M. keeps his listen audience engaged. As he takes ones ears on a visual roller-coaster ride About life. With songs Like Lord Guide Me, Gangster Gangster, Man in The Mirror, Let Me Live my Life, and I Think I hear Money. Just to name a few Sound like this The Great Commission has Classic Writing all over it. It reminds me of a time when rap was alive and full of Hustle and Flow.
