ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Tilford Sellers began recording “Another Day With You” in November of 2017. The record was only partially completed
when Tilford was killed in a car accident on January 27, 2018. He was thirty–five years old and had just been named a Nominee for the 2018 Ameripolitan Awards for Best Honky Tonk Male.

On the day before the accident, he recorded vocals – just one take for each song. In the weeks and months that followed, Tilford’s bandmates rallied to finish the record, spending countless hours and carefully curating parts using his guitar, pedal board, and amplifier. They also followed the handwritten notes he left behind to guide the arrangements and instrument selection. You will hear Tilford playing acoustic guitar on all the tracks and if you listen closely, you might be able to hear the pearl snap buttons of his sleeve occasionally hitting the guitar.

The following tribute and memorial was written by Wayne Bertsch:
"The music of Tilford Sellers was too real. He created authentic Honky Tonk and Country in a world that favors "American Idol" over Americana. His originals sounded like unearthed pages of the Hank Williams Songbook. Tilford wrote with a 1960-1970 sensibility, but there's no place for that music on modern country radio. He was too good for today's country. He belonged beside legends like Johnny Cash, Ernest Tubb or Lefty Frizzell, and it's our sad loss to know he now resides with them. He is missed."
