Album Notes
This is a beautifully produced CD from the late 80's and newly re-released and repackaged in 2010. Lori Rivera, a popular singer in Santa Cruz, CA, and I sing several inspired duets on this recording. Her voice rocks! And in fact this CD rocks on some songs more than any other album I've made. The theme of "Take Your Power Back" is really about coming back to center, to peace and to that place of true power. It's not an outward or pushy power, but rather our spiritual essence. On the song "In Time" Lori takes the lead vocal and reminds us that in any conflict we eventually always "see the working out, and we find that there's peace there." The love song "I Offer You My Heart" is a sweet expression of the same theme within the context of relationship: "My arms are open wide. They're here to welcome you. These fears I cannot hide. But I'm gonna see it through. I'm gonna see it through." All in all this recording is a fun collection of bright and poppy tunes, intermixed with ballads that take us deeper. Please enjoy this great assortment of songs that will lift your day.

I am so incredibly happy to have found Charley Thweatt's music after all these years. I saw Charley when he performed in Cohasset MA at Ted Poppe and Vicki Thomas' home at an ACIM PICNIC!! That was probably 1989.

Charley reminds me of JOHN DENVER! I just downloaded 3 albums and and around 6 individual songs.

His music is so incredibly inspiring!!! It will open your HEART!!! In fact, LISTEN with your HEART and you will KNOW and recognize yourSELF.

Thank you Charley for you time and talent all these years.
