ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is the ZAAG Band's 8th studio album. Having left the prog rock genre behind us, this is an album of stand alone songs, based on soft rock, rock ballads and songs with influences from Scottish and Irish Folk Music. It also included the album version of our Charity Single, "Thank You Z". All UK profits from the sale of the single version will be donated to Cancer Research. This song is in memory of our former lead vocalist, and ZAAG Band lyricist, David "Zola" Pickwick, who passed away in 2018. This album is dedicated to him.

"Reunion" was written as a mini-musical for Zola, in the hope he would come back and perform it. Sadly, ill health prevented this and he passed away before we could record it. The character remains a "Zola character" however.

We were delighted to have a virtuoso guitar performance by friend of the band, Roger C., on "Thanks You Z".
