Album Notes
Formed in late 1980 - by Bobby Steele, after departing from THE MISFITS; The Undead played a role in the renaissance of New York City's 'East Village', as well as the formation of the New York Hardcore (NYHC) scene. The Undead has been an influence and inspiration for many well-known artists over the years - yet have maintained a DIY status themselves. The Undead's 1989 'Act Your Rage' LP (now a part of the Dawn Of The Undead collection) is credited for its role in launching the 'indie revolution' - selling out its first pressing of 6,000 units upon the day of release, and topping 10,000 in sales withing 8 months.
