"It is the feeling of being lost in one's own thoughts. It is wanting to say something and not being able to confront the truth or reality of the right thing to say. It is those hesitant first steps of a grand undertaking. It is the self-titled debut from the experimental local Hip hop duo, The Find, and it is all about the art, the hustle, the humor, and the triumph of being human.
Wordsmith, Lucky Manuelo and sonic landscape artist, DinoJack Crispy present an album that is lyrically heavy enough to challenge but aurally light enough to inspire. This isn't Hip hop for the dancehall or the Jeep trunk. Casual listeners will find the album difficult to settle into, as this is Hip hop for the thinker, for the believer, and for the romantic. However, those willing to explore will discover that the album resonates with overwhelming sincerity and warmth. In the short space of 27 minutes, The Find convincingly expresses the beauty of human imperfection."

Review of THE FIND : from : an Award winning entertainment website and publication...

Miles Bonny is a sneaky devil. The Lawrence-based beatmaker, who created and maintains, is best-known for his work with local hip-hop duo SoundsGood, but has also released work under the monikers Dino Jack Crispy, Fats Brown and (gasp) Miles Bonny.

Add to the list Bonny's newest project: "The Find." The album's eight tracks allow Archetype's I.D. (credited here as "Lucky Manuelo") free reign over the prolific producer's lost beats. I.D. spins threads of stream-of-conscious rhymes on top of Bonny's dense compositions, which sound considerably darker and more ominous than the majority of his work with SoundsGood.

The album proudly lists the instruments used in its creation: "1 microphone, 1 mpc2000xl sampler, 1 mic compressor, 1 microverb efx processor, 1 four-track minidisc recorder, 1 tascam cd-recorder + ears, ideas, and abilities..." The gritty production fits snugly with I.D.'s esoteric lyricism, feeding late-night bursts of creativity between two friends.

The album's standout track is "Take Five," which features an irresistible beat with a thick string section and a yummy bass line. "My World" leaves heads spinning with a daring off-kilter beat and jazzy piano line.

"The Find" stands as evidence of the fertile collaborative environment within the Lawrence hip-hop scene, and this album adds another fine chapter to its evolution.

nice job, love it.
This is real hot, reminds me of Deep Puddle Dynamics.
I listen to it a lot at night when I'm just chillin.

Amazing music
I have never experienced an album such as this. It's kind of life altering in this age of meaningless rap. So refreshing, totally unique. It's truly amazing. thank you

Man I just got this in the mail, shipped fast!! Its good guys.

Real ish..
This album has the sound of a classic Miles Davis album where he and his crew would make a whole album in one sitting, yet still be mad dope. ID is an emcee who sounds ambiguous to the untrained ear, but if you can get at what his rhymes hint with production from Miles Bonny, the same cat that brung the beats on SoundsGood, how can you go wrong? My fav tracks are Mantra, and Take Five. Peep this, a rare classic ep..

It's a Find
THE FIND: Now I must admit, I probably didn't pick the best time to review the find. Tired, bored, cranky& hungry the best move would've been to get a snack& go to bed. But instead I pop in the cd with a chip on my shoulder. Annoyed that the album is only 8 tracks long, I listen to
the first track unimpressed. Deciding I plain don't like track 2 I pull out pen&pad, preparing to catch wreck in a review. But right as I begin track 3 first hit grabs my attention. Produced smooth&simple it blends neatly with the well written verse. The harder As We Kiss is also a winner. Track 7 Cancelled is an absolute stand out. Deep lyrics, abstract yet defined, they go well over the somber production. By this point, no longer bored or cranky, I realize I did indeed FIND something here. The Find is a solid underground album & a very good addition to my cd collection.
