ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Tom LoMacchio returns with three new songs of The Deadwood Divine, an acoustically based project which began in 1995. The Deadwood Divine was originally a way to present songs written by Tom that were not quite appropriate for his punk/emo band Plunger, who were still active at that time. After the disbanding of Plunger in 1996, Tom continued on with his acoustic music until 2000, when he began actively writing electronic/synthpop music, most notably with the project Stereograph. After 14 years, the time was right to revisit the acoustic guitar and piano, and to once again give home to songs that could not be presented in any better way than with acoustic instrumentation. "...down the shallows" picks up in a logical place where the German only single "Farewell" (the unintentionally yet appropriately titled song) left off in 2000. This record is brimming with all the elements a fan would expect of a new acoustic release, and if Tom LoMacchio is a new name to you, this EP is a perfect introduction into the sincere and heartbreaking songs which are The Deadwood Divine."
