It's Moving Day

by The Buskers

A cheerful depression-era tune about getting evicted, originally recorded by Charlie Poole & the N.C. Ramblers. With just banjo, fiddle, piano, bass, and a little percussion sauce, The Buskers go all-out old school on this lively track.

Album Notes
Distinctive songwriters with a wide range of influences from jug band to jazz to roots rock, The Buskers have been performing in roadhouses, opera houses, house concerts, and summer concert series from Lake Ontario to the New England coast since 1993. The three long-time collaborators radiate warmth, wit, and spontaneity at their shows, along with effortless musicianship and inventive arrangements on a variety of instruments. Their four albums, The Buskers (1999), Ray’s Vacation (2004), Spank That Tambourine (2009), and Every Day We Play A New Song (2013) showcase the songwriting talents of Paul Hubert (guitar, banjo) and Craig Jaster (piano, bass, accordion, percussion, and anything else in sight), and Kathy (KZ) Sommer’s inspired, genre-defying violin and mandolin playing.
