ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Tanya Yastrebova was born and raised in Russia. She began playing piano at the age of 5, and a few years later she began creating music. The first piece on this album was composed when she was 14. At 19 she graduated from a music academy in Russia. Tanya has lived in America since her early 30's.

The genre of Tanya's compositions has been variously described as light classical to movie music, to just "feel-good" music. Her compositions are melodic, yet distinctive for their complexity and mixing of major and minor keys. The songs tend to linger in your head long after they've been listened to. This album is a lush compilation of her most evocative piano themes.
