The Midnight Sun EP

by Screen Vinyl Image

Possibly not the first band to be dubbed "Electropsych" but certainly the only band to live up to the name, with hard hitting beats, john carpenter era synths, and JAMC guitars.

Album Notes
Screen Vinyl Image are a blend of electronica and psychedelia creating a sound that is as refreshing as it is intense. Swarming with heavy samples, Blade Runner era synths, and echoed guitars and vocals, the music here is ever expanding atop an array of beats ranging from the darkest moments of Suicide & The Jesus and Mary Chain to the deep grooves of early Hank Shocklee productions,
dub, and Can era kraut.
Peeling back the surface of layers reveals influences
in old grindhouse and sci fi cinema, early House & Italo sounds, and classic John Carpenter epics. The music can crank at a club, glide along open road drives, and still intrigue
those late night headphone listeners. Each song takes you on a surreal trip recalling a lost nostalgia yet sounding nothing short of
futuristic at the same time. Live, Screen Vinyl
Image concoct a dizzying stripped down set full of raw punk asethetic mixed with an intense light show of strobes and psychadelic imagery.
