Album Notes
The Same Conversation - "The track pairs melodic synth lines with dance-friendly drum programming. An exotic vibe. Great job. Great for the clubs."

-Song of the Year, March 2005

Truly - “The emotion poured into this composition is truly enthralling... an aggressive performance with stunning soundscapes.”

-Song of the Year, December 2005

Sucumbio - "Two-time award winning finalist in the Song of the Year contest, Sucumbio has earned the confidence and support of over 200 music industry professionals with their passionate song writing and devotion to precision and quality. Tracks from debut album The Perfect Time have commanded the respect and admiration of hundreds of listeners from the US, UK and Canada... [their] background in classics, jazz and composition lend a great deal of power to their thoughtful and penetrating melodies and harmonies. At the heart of the music can be felt a stirring quality of motion, a driving force that cannot - will not be squelched."

-The Dirt, November 2006

"There is everything. And nothing. One's expression must be flavored by all that it is not. This leaves much unsaid, but... I can promise this: honesty about the self is at the heart of everything you see and hear.

Music and expression are fundamental. Picturesque ... landscapes of emotion can only be harnessed for moments at a time. We live for those moments, really. The piano has always been my canvas of choice; such an immediate response to this... everything. Sounds blend together in life to create a life of its own and this is my fascination."

Anything But Ordinary
From the dark, droning opening of Drown, through the ethereal, trancy rhythms of the title track, to the final fading of A Good Note, this disc is a journey through everything that is electronica. Tracks like e-Racer and Truly tear through complex, jungle rhythms. A Good Note focuses on a more laid-back, ambient theme, as does Meld before taking flight into a high-energy rush midway through the track. The Same Conversation is a bitter trip through hard-house electronica, while Maybe Once... Maybe Twice is a soft combination of down-tempo tribal rhythms, loungy piano, and sweeping, acidic vocals.

While frontman Graham Booth certainly holds his own with a keyboard and a microphone, a few tracks gain extra momentum from Sententia, whose acoustic attitudes add new depth and complexity to Sucumbio's primarily electronic sounds (most notably in Ghost Town and You Don't Know). Meanwhile, Bridget Booth adds a chilling, angelic aria to an otherwise dark intro in Drown, while Verlinde's guitar flame-out gives the track its startling finish.

Whether you are looking for pulsing trance, ambient soundscapes, or drum & bass, this disc is all of those and more.
