ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“These Are My Dreams” is Stan’s first Studio Album, recorded just as he was leaving the Army in 1991. It has been extremely successful, with well over half of the songs being covered by other artist’s world wide. The title track won the converted Keith Marsden Song Writing Competition in 2000 and has just been recorded by Martyn Wyndham-Read. Other tracks from this album have been recorded by well known artists in Australia, France, Norway and the United States. Skilfully produced by Kenny Speirs, the album contains a number of his classic songs including Alice, Days Like These, These Are My Dreams, Across the Sea, Monuments Of Stone and A Soldiers Goodbye. With superb arrangement and accompaniment from a host of top musicians including Stewart Hardy on Fiddle, Iain Lothian on Accordian and Tommy Roseburgh on Piano, this is an album you will play over and over again and well worth adding to your collection.

One of the best CD's I've bought this year, I love it!
I really was suprised at the quality and depth of this CD, I play it all the time and love the variety of the songs. Stan has a nice relaxed voice and easy style, his lyrics have depth and meaning. I already have a copy of More Than Words, which is different but just as good, or perhaps better, anyway just great listening. Ruby.

Another great find
I love this early album of Stan's songs, I've become a big fan since listening to his latest album Music & Friends. This album has some real gems in it, Across The Sea, the Wonderful Alice, Days LIke These, A Soldiers Goodbye, I could go on! The vocals and the musicians are excellent and you can see Stan's development as a songwriter in these his first recordings. The songs are so memorable and easy to listen to but the stick in your mind and you find yourself singing them without realising it. Try this album out it's great.
