ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A Buffalo native, Stacy Clark spent her youth at open mics, writing poems, teaching herself the guitar and supporting national touring acts. In 2004, she packed up her car and headed to L.A. because she couldn’t imagine being anything but a musician. Since then, her determination has grown and her hard work has paid off.

After seeing Sarah McLachlan and Jimmy Eat World in concert, at 15 she decided to believe in what she wanted. “I got on my bike, rode to the music store, bought a guitar, and rode home with it on my back,” she recalls. She taught herself to play and began performing at open mic nights, including a popular one at local club Nietzsche’s. The open mic was run by Michael Meldrum, a Buffalo folk artist who recorded for Ani DiFranco’s label Righteous Babe. Meldrum taught Clark how to book her own shows, which led to her embarking on a national tour at age 19 during which she traveled across the country alone for two months.

She has toured around the world relentlessly, including several performances at 2013 SXSW, residencies at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, The Constellation Room in Orange County, The Cosmo in Las Vegas, Intersoup Berlin and at Tab in Singapore. In 2012, She performed at NYC Living Room where her live set was recorded for Sirius/XM The Loft and independently got her music video ‘Sign’ featured on MTV Hits. Her songs have been spun worldwide on radio stations including local support at KX 93.5 in Laguna, KSBR 88.5 'The Blend' in Orange County, 102.1 STAR in Buffalo, Hot 90.5 WBER in Rochester, Indie 103.1 in Los Angeles and 'Locals Only' on KROQ.

She has opened for Jacks Mannequin, The Plain White T’s, The Bird and Bee, Kate Nash, Casey Abrams, The New Amsterdams, Joshua Radin, Matt Nathanson, Copeland, A Fine Frenzy and Leigh Nash. Clark lent her vocals to Jacks Mannequin album 'The Glass Passenger' and sang with them at their final Los Angeles El Rey performance.

Over the past few years, she has also raised money for various charities including Habitat For Humanity, Children's Hospital of Orange County, and the ASPCA (in the process becoming the owner of a rescue dog), and has performed at variety of benefit concerts for The American Red Cross, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The American Cancer Society, The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and The Cystic Fibrosis Walk, to name a few.

Clark's album Connect The Dots landed at #12 on Billboard's Heatseekers and was listed by Amazon as one of the "Best Records of 2011". Her song 'White Lies', selected by iTunes as the Single of the Week, propelled her to #7 on the charts outselling Lady Gaga. Her song "Touch & Go" was used in a Canadian national commercial for Sprint.

“Having a career in music is everything I’ve ever wanted,” she says. “Nothing is more satisfying than writing a song and having someone listen and feel like they can relate,” Clark says. "My songs will outlive me and I hope they can make a difference in someone's life in the same way music has done for me.”

New Sound, Same Irresistable Style
I've been a huge fan of Stacy Clark for 9 years now. This song represents a new pop/dance style than I'm used to from her, but it works really well. I'm already hooked!
