Album Notes
The band were formed after Markus Flaherty decided he needed an outlet for his music. He set about recruiting the best musicians he could find to form a band that could do his ideas justice. The band comprises: Markus Flaherty (Writer/Guitarist/Lead vocals), Tom Worrall (Piano/vocals), Jonty Finn (Drums/vocals), Vic Cox (Bass/Vocals), Will Greener (Harmonica/Vocals) & Jay Evans (2nd Guitar).

The band formed in March ‘07 and played their first gig at Fahrenheit 55 to a capacity audience. Highlights so far have been headlining the Andertons Stage at Guilfest to a crowd of 300+, giving a live interview on 96.4 The Eagle, being invited to play at world-famous venues (such as the Troubadour and The Half Moon) and supporting The Alabama 3, working with the legend that is Ruggero Robin, and now releasing their debut single 'This Cage'.

Letter-boxing Spotlight Cannibal's sound is a tough job, to round up general opinion, you could describe it as 'Bluesy, Pop Rock with a hint of American Country'. If you're looking for a band with 'hook-filled' songs, incredible harmonies and 'foot-stomping' rhythm, all performed by talented, professional, passionate musicians, Spotlight Cannibal won't disappoint. You can expect to hear Markus singing intriguing, captivating lyrics in his trademark gravelly voice, complimented by some of the best musicianship you'll hear for a long time.
