Album Notes
Supreme.Poetic.Expression.And.Knowledge.For.Real.Eclectic.Evolution =\'s the Main Mechanic himself, SPEAKFREE! Born 02/20/1980 SpeakFree a native of the Phillipines relocated to the U S of A in 1987 when he was only 7 years old with mom Remy. He fell in love with HipHop in the 4th grade when dad Romeo bought him a tape titled \"Kings of Rap\" which featured RUN DMC, Roxanne Shante, Furious 5, Rakim, BDP and more.. Intrigued with the music he heard, Speak took it upon himself to start writing rhymes at the age of 14. Along with the music skateboarding also engulf his life as he hit the streets of the Bay Area heavy with his skate homies the Grass Crew. After barely graduating high school, he took the usual route of college which at short live ended after 3 failed attempts and permanent academic probation due to too much daydreaming! Despite of the educational setback, SP got a 9 to 5 at the WhereHouse record store in 1998 to support his revisted love, making music!! With his minimum wage earnings he went out and bought a Yamaha DJX keyboard, BOSS drum machine, Tascam 4 Track recorder (sht only had 2 channels) and 1 Gemini belt drive turntable. Determine to make due of what he had Speak created two 4 track albums (\"The Emcee\" & \"Forward Progress\") under the alias Dialog.. After a 6 year hiatus due to the birth of his daughter Kalea, Dialog came out of the ashes as SpeakFree! Now with his second wind, SP hit the music hard again writing over a 100 songs. Thru faith and working the same job, Speak met KAY6 where they form the group Kreative Resource in 2006. With their similar interest in the true skool essence of beats and lyrics, the duo created the underground lp \"First Things First\". In 2007 SP & K6 crafted the indie smash album \"The Difference is US.\" with the aid of an old friend Ster CraZY aka Spits Daily! With the album gaining global recognition, Kreative Resource (SpeakFree, KAY6, Ster CraZY and DJ iLLEfect) got their grind by performing at various venues in the Bay Area with fellow rhyme spitter The IMF. Now set to release his highly anticipated solo album \"Fresh Perspective\" produced by SF native dj deedot. SpeakFree is focus and ready to spread his words. Walking in faith and armed with a mic, be on the lookout for the Main Mechanic as he drops The \"Fresh Perspective\" which features guest Ster CraZY, The IMF, Paulie Rhyme, Crush, Navery, Journey & Wreckelekt (Mind Complex)

This is the type of direction that is needed in HipHop today! A Fresh Perspective indeed.

SpeakFree captures that Golden Age sound with lyrical charisma over sonically tuned instrumentals. I recommend this album to anyone that appreciates music with a message.
