Album Notes
In this, the third volume in the Lounge Meditations series, NYC based composer/producers Steven Light and Jeremy Minton have created a new collection of music that embodies the sound of the 21st century. Urban beats and global rhythms fuse with transatlantic melodies to create a chilled-out road map to modernism. From New York to London, Eastern Europe to East Asia, the global soundtrack of Lounge Meditations Volume Three will put you in a nocturnal mode, where the sound is smooth, the mood is chilled, and the lounge is wherever you are.

Jet Set Cool
I'm relatively new to the whole downtempo/chill-out genre, but after a friend turned me on to the CD "DJ Kicks" by K&D I was addicted. Having found the Lounge Meditations series, these are now my favorite. Volume 3 is a wonderfully rich collection of beats and melodies. There's just enough future jazz to keep it interesting, yet it never strays from its zen-like meditative qualities. If you're new to this genre, than I would highly recommend the Sonic Boutique CDs, as well as those by Thievery Corporation and Tosca.

LOVE this CD!
I absolutely LOVE this CD! Just a beautiful mix of downtempo and electronica. Wonderful piano textures and cool beats. Even the drum&bass track "Urban Opus" has a mellow, trancey vibe to it. The songs are brilliantly crafted and wonderfully mood inducing. This CD and the CD "Suzuki" by Tosca are my favorite chill-out discs. Everyone should own both of these titles.

great international flavor
This is just a great disc of international trip-hop beats. There are some really exotic stringed instruments and haunting lyrics that tie it together. Perfect to chill out to after a night on the town, I also find that is puts me in a very productive mood as background music for doing involved work - that's what I'll tell my boss next time he asks me to turn it down!

Masterful creations.
What a beautifully crafted collection. So many wonderful elements in combination here that it really is a journey. I'm a long time listener of ambient and acid jazz, and this is by far the most beautifully conceived. A must have for lounge fans.

If you like to chill...
If you like to chill, this is a fine collection of downtempo/electronica. It sort of reminds me of a chill-out CD by the French artist Gabin, with its inetrnational textures. Great combination of loops, samples and live playing. The first song "Peace Talks for Lovers" is the gem. Looking forward to volume 4.

Downtempo Gem
Just a beautiful chillout mood on this CD. A beautiful combination of electronica with real piano, bass and strings. The cut Bachelor Pad Rendezvous has this great bossa nova beat infused with an electronica vibe and then a french accordian melody floating over the top. There's also a great drum&bass track with environmental sounds underneath, very cool. The song 5 Minutes of Pathos has a great House beat with middle eastern vocals and jazz samples. Get this CD!

This one, yep I bought about 10 CD's and this one is fantastic. I can only agree with all the other reviews. Get the cash, do the deal. Cheers

Fantastic Voyage
What a wonderful journey this CD is. A truly beautifully constructed musical trip through the lounges of the west and east. The contrasting musical parts and the ethnic beats create a great global flow. It's not just a mood, but great compositions with really fabulous melodies and textures. "Peace Talks for Lovers" and "Theory of the Leisure Class" are great songs. But the CD is great from beginning to end. I'm a big fan of the chill out sound, and this is a great downtempo title to own.

CD Baby

Described as "downtempo, electro-nova and electro lounge," it is this month's ultimate "chill out" album. With layered textures, reverberating loops and sigh-inducing atmospheres, this album is definitely a must-hear for Electronic fans and flocks of similar artists like Thievery Corporation and St Germain. Beautifully mastered and produced with sophisticated influences from Jazz and Pop, we highly recommend this for your collection, to be put somewhere between the sections of "take a load off" and "set a mood without words getting in the way."
