ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Tom Branson at BluesRockers.com wrote: “ In our quest to find all the best blues and blues/rock artists in our world, several countries have proven to be very fertile fields in which we have harvested some truly great musicians. Italy has been a country that has yielded some of my personal favorites, with Tolo Marton topping the list but with some very formidable axe slingers not far behind. Please add to that list a MOST impressive new member: J.Sintoni. A native of Cesena, Italy, he’s one of those "triple threat" artists we look hard to find. He is a world class guitarist, very capable singer, and excellent song writer who surely is destined to take his place among the top artists in the genre. On his latest release, "The Red Suit" , his guitar work is very diverse, ranging from stinging slow blues to very wah drenched blues/rock to Texas rock, to jazz and several variations in between...”

"J Sintoni has got all a fan of blues can ask for ! A fine guitar playing with good sound and intelligence in his speedy way to play it, a brilliant voice, an original material and the willing to give the best of himself. Riding a power trio is not easy : J Sintoni gives the impression to do it since his childhood. Who could believe that he is Italian and not American ?
Last but not least: HE KNOWS WHAT THE BLUES IS ABOUT!” Marc Loison, Sweet Home Chicago

"Even though the guitar works so hard, there's a pleasing tone that remains tasty... this is a first-rate blues-rock album with twelve original songs. There's a lot of energy and tightness in this guitar, bass and drums line-up and having it applied to self-penned tunes makes for a fine experience;Truly fine guitar on some tasty blues-rock." DWM Music Company, USA

"I like it a lot! J.Sintoni’s guitar playing is very tasty with some jazzy overtones making his songs very enjoyable. They sound modern but are rooted in the best tradition of electric blues. The title song is absolutely beautiful:guitar lines, melody, mood,it's all fantastic!" Przemek Draheim, Polish Blues Radio, Poland

"This is J.Sintoni's first solo cd called "The Red Suit", with 12 own songs, and there is something for everybody on this record, as long as you like good blues, boogie, jazzy songs, shuffles and slowblues (like the title song, in the real SRV tradition). Everything is done with a lot of routine, because playing so many concerts has made a skilled guitarplayer out of J.Sintoni, who masters his instrument completely... a more than fine record and damn good music from this multi talented guitarplayer and singer well-dressed Italian bluesboy!" Ronnie Bervoets, RootsTime, Belgium

(Matteo Gaccioli - IL BLUES - Settembre 2009)

lots of tasty blues guitar.
I love lots of blues guitar and not alot of long story tellin\' J. leaves plenty of room for pickin\' & Bendin\' in these original songs..The songwriting is good [& the guy has a knack fer sure], but J. loves to play ALOT of that sweet guitar! and on first listen found no duds, all songs are worthy of keepin on the ol\' \"ipod\". Not heavy stuff here just good sweet blues guitar. I think I had put in \"Carlos Santana in the \"SOUNDS LIKE SEARCH OPTION\" and J.Sintoni came up. thank you cd baby for helping me enjoy life a little more!! Buy this disc you\'ll be waiting for any new one to come along & you\'ll buy it without even listening to it ,,just like me... keep it up J.
