Album Notes
**Recently placed first in the "Great American Duet Sing-Off" on A Prairie Home Companion!**

“The music of Anne and Pete Sibley is so powerful that whenever you hear one of their songs, you have to stop everything else you are doing, and listen.”
-John Adair, Artistic Director, MerleFest

One of the sweetest, most soulful and hauntingly beautiful duets in the business"
- Bluegrass Now Magazine

“Their harmonies are warm, tight and soulful; and their performances simple, poignant and unforgettable.”
- Nashville Public Radio

For Anne and Pete it is the simplicity of the music: the words, the vocals, the harmonies. The storytelling and intimate nature of their originals has drawn in fans and encouraged the husband and wife duo to keep delivering. They aren’t afraid of making music that is personal, paring it down, being true to their instincts. The audiences and the communities and the correspondence from their fans in five short years has made it so rewarding for the couple. Raised in New England singing in choirs, studying all types of music except folk and bluegrass, the Sibleys stumbled upon their true calling when they moved out West to the land of the Tetons. They consider this music the people’s music, nature’s music and they sing it freely and graciously.

They Performed on the NPR Radio program A Prairie Home Companion on April 11, 2009.

In the past five years they have recorded four well-received albums (including one for Christmas) and will be celebrating their newest release in April 2009.

Of Will You Walk With Me, Bluegrass Now writes, “What emerges front and center are the couple’s transcendent harmonies, vocal renditions that embellish already artful songwriting." They have also self-published a songbook of their original music.

Ms. Ulrike Krahl

A wonderful album, especially the version of "past the point of rescue" captured my heart. Just a great everyday-everytime piece.

Peters at CD Baby

A husband and wife duo whose voices go together like milk and honey, Anne and Pete Sibley's "Coming Home" is an album of honest, sweet melodies and close harmonies. Fans of acoustic roots music from Gillian Welch, Alison Krauss, and Emmylou Harris will love this album of heartfelt lyrics, clean guitar or banjo playing, and there's those gorgeous male/female harmonies that can't be beat. Having recently placed first in the "Great American Duet Sing-Off" on A Prairie Home Companion, this duo is bound for greatness with their stripped-down but stunning original songs and choice covers. With the a cappella, "My Love is There," this duo makes a strong case for the argument that there's nothing better than unadorned, unaffected human voices. This album is full of lovely stuff, and you'll be happy you heard it.

Best CD Yet!
Love it!

A new favorite of mine
What a wonderful CD. The songs are strong and heartfelt. The musicianship is impeccable. The harmonies are superb. It helped me get out my dusty, too-seldom-played mandolin. I want to learn some of the songs...particularly "Just the Right Moment".

Five Stars and Then Some
I requested a copy of "Coming Home" as a birthday gift and it has proven to be the gift that continues to give! I keep discovering new favorites the longer I listen. The only difficulty I have is that there's not as much time in the day to spend with Anne and Pete as I'd like. Current favorites are "Past the Point of Rescue" (stunning rendition) and "All I Wanted". Thank you for the beautiful music!

As I am almost elderly (66), the lyrics are a little too young for me, but I bought this for my daughter for her anniversary, and SHE LOVES IT.
She is the one who turned me onto Anne & Pete, for which I am most grateful and have some of their other CDs.

Breath of Fresh Aire
I have opened up a treasure trove of refreshing music as it cascades around me on a late Monday night, like a soft cool waterfall, helping release the stress of the day.

This is like opening a cracker jack box of musical splendor. A grassroot resurgence to simple harmonies coupled with beautiful music make this a pearl in a collection of musical oysters.

Keep up the great work.
