Album Notes
This recording of gongs, bells, and bowls was inspired while on a personal journey through Asia and the Himalaya of Tibet. The recording opens with the sounds of yak bells along the Pang La Pass and in the village of Shelkar, the chanting of monks at the Pelkhor Chode monastery in Gyantse, and ceremonial bells with the sound of prayer wheels being turned at first morning light at Rongbuk Monastery 16,340 ft, on the north face of Chomolungma " Goddess Mother of the world", Mount Everest.
