ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
rosie is the quirky girl you grew up with next door, who always had skinned knees, dirty toes, a tune in her head, her hands on your piano/guitar, and a penchant for disasterous adventures.
At 17 rosie bought herself a guitar and headed out of sleepy melbourne, into the big world with a few dollars to her name and a pocket full of songs.
Stomping away on her home made stomp box, & sliding away on her slide guitar, rosie keeps herself warm with an energetic, engaging performance, using guitar, cello, harmonica and mandolin to accompany her vocals.

Frank Gualtier

A beautiful voice combined with fingers that conjure magic from a guitar
On first listen her harmonies and melodies, and to some degree even her voice, were slightly reminescent of Azure Ray (as a duo more so than either Orenda Fink or Maria Taylor individually). Her voice has a delightful lightness to it as she dances, sometimes at breathtaking speed, like an enchanted syncopator through the wonderous music she strums, picks, slides and sometimes percussively draws from her guitar. This is not Rosie's first CD and as always she delivers first rate folk music with wit, charm, and incredible skill. Anyone who loves good folk music cannot afford not to have Rosie Burgess in their collections and in their dialect.
