Album Notes
Most musical careers start a little earlier than age 50+ but I maintain that a musician's only real requirement (when making music of course) is to be alive! I am alive! of this writing anyway:) Music ,for me , has always been like a beautiful dancer that beckoned then kept dancing out of reach. Until now. Along the way there have been people that have always believed in what I need to accomplish. I am blessed for them. Also there have been some that told me not to bother. Alas, I have been told my whole life about what was not possible ...and thankfully most of the time I didn't listen!
I offer up to you my first album;an introspective collection of 11 songs and one short instrumental. There is a lot of personal stuff here, but if it doesn't touch something in you,I probably didn't do my job well. But...if...even one of my songs does touch or move even one of you (maybe even sway a little:) ) then maybe that is enough!..and I can say that i did do my job well...
This album is pretty "chill" and I think you'll enjoy it very much as such. My producer C Lanzbom is a Grammy winner and the only word I could use to describe any of the musicians who played with me on it is "inspired". I am writing all the time now so I ask that you keep a sharp eye out! :) peace, Robbie

Love it!
As a personal friend of Robbie, this review may sound biased, but it's not. I didn't know what to expect when fist hearing this as I have heard Robbie do a few songs unplugged, but I was really floored by the arrangements on the album. The complexity of the keyboards, background vocals and percussion were unexpectedly enjoyable, and of course, the guitar.... A few of the songs touched me greatly, especially "Wedding Song", which is a beautiful song, made more beautiful by memories of when Robbie married off his daughter. In summary, I really didn't know what to expect when listening to this for the first time, but I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality and feeling of the music. Well done Robbie!!

S-M-O-O-T-H_ & E-A-S-Y ! real nice !
My wife and I bought the CD after one of Robbie's heartfelt performances at the WOODSTOCK arts & crafts festival in May. We were awed by his performance and waited patiently for his upcoming release. Let's just say we weren't disappointed by the depth of his lyrics and the smooth Cat Stevens-Al Stewart tone of his vocals. Most impressed with the fact his compositions are all original with one track's lyrics written by his daughter. Robbie's CD is well worth listening too !

Will effortlessly relax you on a stressful day!
This album quite easily takes the edge off my stressful day, relaxing me with its uplifting, encouraging lyrics and soothing instrumentals and vocals! It's quite the accomplishment for an album to have each successive song embrace the previous track while creating something unique in the process. That is what makes this album reverberate with that smooth, uplifting vibe. Not to mention its relatable lyrics and encouraging messages. I really enjoy Freedom Bells, Victory Dance and Circles most. Their messages, while not only relatable, tell a story that emotes such a feeling that those who can't relate to every song will sure get the feeling of what it's like to marry off your daughter, be abducted by probing aliens, etc. Another gem about this album is that every track tells a story. Each one unique. For me, the best albums are those that not only fill you with good feelings but take you on a journey, and that is exactly what Robbie Gevins accomplishes with soothing instrumentals, feel-good tales and mellow vocals! I will certainly be enjoying this album for years to come! Thank you!
