Album Notes
My name is Jason Richison and I am proud to say that we have some amazing talent on this album! Joplin, MO is home to some of the finest pickers and singers you will ever find. Among them is a man named Dewayne Bowman who can sing Ray Price better than, if I dare say, Ray Price himself ! There is also a guitar monster (and I don’t use that phrase lightly,) named Charlie Loveless , who plays like no one you’ve ever heard before. If you enjoy honky-tonk piano, your ears will be delighted to hear what Chris Kissel can do with a good country arrangement. With Randy Vanderpool on bass guitar and Johnny Winters on drums, all of these songs have an undeniable country beat that is sure to get your feet tapping. Shawn Howe has provided all the fiddle flavor you hear throughout this project while three very talented steel guitar men (Dave Muskgrave, Jerry Rich, and Johnny Rose) supply us with all the string bending pleasure any one album should be allowed. Female vocal harmony doesn’t get any sweeter than what Shana Lynette Stone has brought to the table. And if that’s not enough, you might be interested to know that the disc is an enhanced CD. You can put it in your computer and see about ten minutes of actual studio session video footage, listen to a radio interview, scroll through some pictures, or click onto my web link. The insert also folds out and you can see and read more about the band members and get the ’inside story’ of how this project came together. We have had very good unsolicited response so far and I honestly believe you will not be disappointed. One fan told me that out of the 600 cd’s she owns, From A Jack To A King was the best all-round package!

A Must Own Masterpiece
No fooling’ folks this is the REAL DEAL! From start to finish this cd is full of dazzling music. From the beginning ‘under your spell again” till the end “Foggy Mt. Breakdown” this CD is jam packed with, I just have to say again, GREAT MUSIC! The great players, that surround the tracks on this disc, makes songs you may remember come to life like new again. On my favorites “Ghost Riders in the Sky”, “Hey Good Lookin’”, and Foggy Mt. Breakdown, made me have to hear them played again and again! The thirteenth track is an original song written by Jason himself, and one would swear that it was a golden classic hit! That is just how great this CD truly is. Thanks for the great music Jason & Crew!

Very good & pure country!
First of all, let me tell you this: here you get one of the best recordings of 'Ghost Riders In The Sky' ever with great guitar work and vocals.
But it's not all...this album is filled with good old country songs like 'Talk Back Tremling Lips', From a Jack To A King', 'ruck Drivin'Man' to name a few.
There's lots of great songs in here and Jason Richison is a very good singer.
Don't let this album stay out if your collection if you like real traditional honky tonk country.

Classic tracks by a Classic guy
This guy can sing and play, for sure...and has surrounded himself with players head deep with talent. Dewayne, Charlie, Dave...veterans - and they show their stuff here! Great Album...a must have.

Excellent traditional country music
We checked out song clips from your From a Jack to a King CD. The musicianship including the vocals are top notch. Nice blend of female vocals with Jason's vocals on some tracks. Excellent guitar and slide-guitar work throughout. A great listen for any traditional country music fan.
