Album Notes
Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, Red Kate released it’s second album, unamerican activities, in the Spring of 2016 on Black Site. The LP features thirteen tracks of no bullshit, class conscious punk rock and roll. Pressed on redacted-black vinyl by Quality Record Pressing in Salina, KS with cover art by Shaun Hamontree.

Mills Record Company calls Unamerican Activities "an outpouring of pent-up political frustration and good old-fashioned punk rock that combine together for catchy-yet-unrelenting rock that checks all the major boxes for an incredible album...This album is a can’t-miss, new-school take on old-school punk rock from right here in Kansas City."

90.9-FM says, "Unamerican Activities promises to be Red Kate’s strongest showing yet. If the album’s two lead tracks are any indication, this effort is edgier, tighter and has a forceful heft to it. ...from hearing the opening chords and swells of the group’s upcoming LP... there’s an immediate sense of urgency and upheaval."

Noisey describes Red Kate as the best of the “raucous, swaggering…bar-based punk scene” in Kansas City. “When The Troubles Come [the band's first album]… is a big, jagged bar rock burner with plenty of punk chops and even, like, some very post-y tracks slipped in there.”
