ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Derek Conrad Minigan Jr., better known by his stage name RedHead, is a rapper and entrepreneur from Hopewell, VA. He started pursing music as a young teen, after being inspired by his local rap peers and also drawing inspiration from industry artists such as: Fabolous, Trey Songz, J Cole, and Meek Mill. RedHead’s sound can be described as a mix between Hip Hop and R&B and he perfectly balances the two depending on the mood of the track. In an article written in RVA Magazine, the author described RedHead as “very versatile and less traditional in his approach to reaching his audience.” Even though his music career started in Virginia, his career really took off after moving to Tacoma, WA as a result of joining the military.

He is known for his single “West Coast” featuring Eric Bellinger. He’s performed the song multiple times at events with Eric Bellinger in Tacoma and Seattle Washington. RedHead has also opened up for Kirko Bangz in Tacoma and has sold out a show in which he himself was the headliner in Spokane, WA. In addition to his noted Washington performances, he’s also performed at events, shows, and colleges in Virginia and California.

He has had various articles written about his music across multiple publications. RedHead has been featured on Fox Sports and in the Kansas City Newspaper for his song “Frank Mason”. He’s also had articles written about his prior mixtapes in RVA Magazine, WWS Magazine, and Industry All Access.
