Album Notes
Red Eye Max is a blues/rock and country group located in Bloomington IN. The band has been together for 4 years grinding through the bar scene and paying as many dues as possible. Red Eye Max considers themselves to be an "American Rock" band with influences such as John Mellencamp, Larry Crane, John Prine, SRV, Johnny Cash, Steve Earl, and ZZ Top to name a few. Their new CD “True Story” is a mixture of their brand of “Mid-West American Rock” coupled with their influences of country and blues. The songs touch on the all to familiar subject of love and loss, good clean drinking fun, growing up in “small town” America, and even the bands patriotic take on a soldiers life during the war.

Very Good Album
I have seen this band play at the French Lick Casino and they are really great. I bought their cd and I like it a lot. I just saw a video of theirs online and I was really delighted by that. Not only was it a good video, but it seems that they have added Julane Lund, the Indiana fiddling virtuoso (she won the Indiana state fair fiddling contest recently). I saw her play at that contest and she was amazing. I also don't remember seeing the female keyboard player before the video but she came across very proficient too. In short, this seems like a winning combination to me. I like my current cd but I am waiting with baited breath for a new one with Julane Lund and the new keyboard player on it. Keep up the good work!
