Album Notes
Pour La Terre came together from their mutual love of free, open, and expressive musical experiences. Their debut album self titled "Pour La Terre" is made up of the music they first created as a group. They are five people who grew up listening to rock and other similar genres and who went through jazz studies in college, creating a wonderful mixture of jazz and rock. There is a heavy influence from the Grateful Dead which inspires them to open up the music and play it differently each performance. The freedom from both the "jam band" mentality and the jazz mentality come together kindly to create the sound of Pour La Terre. Within their debut album they express many different thoughts such as losing love, struggling with college debt, acknowledging that we are all a bit crazy and that crazy is only natural, there is no true separation between anything, and the powerful healing of reiki practices. Pour La Terre means "For the Earth" in french. They came together to create music to share with the world and hopefully spread some good along the way.
