Ruined Saint

Lots of potential...
I'm really liking what these guys sound like. It still feels a little "rough" in places, but I believe these two are going places. Keep it up; I'll be waiting for the next album.

Pop Dolls Cd Debut an incredible journey into modern music
The Debut CD from the Pop Dolls an incredible journey into modern music...
From the start it just drags you in, the 2nd Track To The Good Times Really Blew me Away, I hope they push this to Radio beyond the net as this track belongs on every Alt. Rock station in the world!
Of course all my Favorites are there and sound so much better from the CD than a burned MP3(and the RIAA says MP3s are the same quality)
Finally we get to hear the finished version of Does She Love You This song really came along way from the tease we got on DMusic. Wow Is all I can say this is a FIVE STAR CD anyway you look at it.
The Pop Dolls Have Created a Modern Sound Melding Punk/Space Rock/Synth pop with Modern Technological sound to Bring us something fresh and new to listen to. Bravo Vince and Ebarbarella!

The sky is NOT falling and music is NOT dead!
Ok Chicken Little, LISTEN UP! The sky is NOT falling and music is NOT dead! Unfortunately, the big five just forgot what music is. I picked up the new Pop Dolls “Made in Plastic” disc and took it on a recent road trip. The first part of the trip I listened to album two of Zappa’s Joes Garage guided by the central scrutinizer. After a brief interlude for lunch and an energy drink, I popped in the Pop Dolls disc and Wow---- I suddenly realized that the energy drink was not necessary!!!!! Somewhat familiar with their music from Dmusic, I was blown away by the originality of the content on “Made in Plastic”. The Pop Dolls combine elements spanning the past five decades strapped with a jet pack propelling their music far into the future. Dark haunting melodies dressed with deep harmonies and contrasting dissonances interlaced with familiar sounding instruments (like the 60’s organ sound in “Candy Ways”) and sounds I have never heard even in my wildest dreams (Texas Rocks). This is NOT your standard RIAA piece of crap with only one good song and the rest filler. Every song on this album has a place in the journey, they way albums used to be made. Right off the bat, the melodic darkness fills my car with “Magazines” and it demands---“will you give us your attention”! Then into “To the Good Times” with some really WILD sounds! My personal opinion is that the collection rises quickly to an early peak at track three (Levitation). “Levitation” raises the bar SO high that the momentum is held throughout the rest of the disc. “Ok Already” is a hypnotic number with a slightly tormented story line combined with poignant and mysterious harmonies/ counter melodies, it fittingly leads the way to track 5! “Does She love You” , an early 90’s style love song IMO, appears to feed off the previous track on the dark side of unrequited love. Excellent lyrical content in this track and the flanged out guitar sound adds an awesome touch! The groovy near 60’s retro grind of “A Sick Pureness”, only 2 minutes long and the shortest track on the album sets the stage perfectly for “Haze”, that is a tad reminiscent of glorious 80’s and then followed up with “Candy Ways”, one of my favorite tracks! The disc ends with “Texas Rocks” that is a rather odd number almost paying musical homage to the likes of down home Texas Blues rockers, in an odd sort of way. No deberiamos tomar el camino a Texas
Pero los maldtos hombres en Arizona y sus armas Todos se han vuelto locos

“We should not take the way to Texas. But the maldtos men in Arizona and his weapon has driven all crazy”

This album is just downright dangerous to the RIAA. It is so fresh and original that if word spreads, the big five will be holding the bag for all of that crap that inundates our airwaves. It could open the floodgates for other independent artist to take back what is rightfully theirs and once again make popular music listenable to the herded masses. “Made in Plastic” is a mixture of the ordinary and the bizarre, a series of shadowy and menacing melodic journeys told through the voices and instruments of our beloved hosts, The Pop Dolls! The shortest 35 minutes that I have ever spent in a car!

Music is alive and well on Pop Dolls Planet.
the CD is truly orginal. has a couple of Pop Dolls favorites as well as many new tracks. the whole PD craze is captured in 35minutes of mod-rock. Like a previous post, I took my CD on the road...but my mode of transportation was by bike instead of car. Needless to say the Dolls had my blood pumping as my iPod blasted track after track. Not your average pop band, the Dolls bring in-yo-face anti-cookie-cutter realism to an otherwise zombie-state genre. This has earned them some of the most loyal fans of any band on DMusic or anywhere for that matter. Be thankful of the Digital Age. If it were up to the powers that be, the Pop Dolls would never exsist. But thanks to the technology you will find that music is alive and well on Pop Dolls Planet.

Pop Dolls Planet Culture !
I would definitely have to agree with everyone here and imemine said it well, that this is not your typical riaa flopz. This is real music and it is original !
1'st of all thank you for this glorious cd. I have been jammin to this all week, and i can't get enough of it.
You guys never cease to amaze us with your talent and professionalism. The pics are great, the lyrics, vocals and music astonishing !
You guys are the stars of today's Modern Pop/Rock !
You definitely have your own style and it is full of so much creativity that we choose not to label it anything other than Pop Dolls !
I love the diverse instrumentation you used and how you used it so perfect !
Today it seems that the mainstream bands are trying too hard to bring the underground sound that you guys have naturally. I love how the guitars, drums, vocals, synths and organs that you use- have a futuristic vintage feeling, and NOT the typical nin/industrial meets the smiths/radiohead thing that has been happening in the mainstream lately.
That's what is important. While all the modern pop bands out now days are doing the same thing, The Pop Dolls are taking us into the ancient future of alternative roots while at the same time moving us forward into their own
Pop Doll Planet Culture !
Great Job you guys ! Bravo !
