ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I have been making solo albums, and duo albums with Annie Gallup as Hat Check Girl, for many years, but, after moving back east to Maine, I wanted to put a band together and play some shows. The first person I called was guitarist Mark Wainer, who had been in The Real Band with me in the 80s. Together we called accomplished singer and percussionist Andrea Re, who I had worked with in Maine and recorded with in New York. The Real Band was reborn!

I wrote the songs on this album specifically for this band—timeless, full but spare, featuring all of our collective talents, style, and experience.
