ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Peter C. Johnson's early records on A&M and CBS were critical favorites that mainstream radio wouldn't touch. As the L.A. Times said in 1978, "Peter C. Johnson is a musician with such originality that he is able to create moods that are sometimes even indescribable." Peter received permission from Universal Music and Sony to produce this limited edition "physical only" compilation as a benefit for the Mark Sandman Music Project. Mark died onstage in Italy in 1999, and the foundation with which his friends and colleagues at Hi-N-Dry records honor him will create opportunities for inner-city kids to play music together, to learn together, and, with the guidance of a cadre of older musicians, to seed the community with creative and energetic thinkers. 100% of the profits will benefit the MSMP.

Guest players on this CD include Nils Lofren, Carlene Carter, Bonnie Raitt, and Irene Cara. There is a very special bonus track of Sandman himself pitching Pizza Hut!

Finally
At last! This compilation was what I was waiting for! The first album from 1978 has been re-released on CD in Japan only and is out of print for years. The second album (1980) was released on vinyl in the Netherlands only. Highly recommended!!!

Why the new version of \'Goodbye Dear Friend\'.
This album brings back many memories from the time i was still young... Delicious! But why include a version of Goodbye Dear Friend from one of Peters last two albums, i cannot say... The lightness of the original is drowned in his dark voice.

I listened twoh excerpts of his two last albums & i must say, that music has something... But not in my memories from 1978-1981. Pity. I\'ve the original was lossed, state that & let it be lossed...

For the rest. Yummi!
