ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
OvrFwrd is a four piece all instrumental rock band from Minneapolis formed in late 2012. All four seasoned musicians, including drummer Rikki Davenport and guitarist Mark Ilaug, bassist Kyle Lund, and keyboardist Chris Malmgren came together with diverse and complex backgrounds and musical influences. Together they have a common goal; to create and perform powerful, colorful, interesting and sonically descriptive music.

On their debut release: "Beyond the Visible Light". OvrFwrd has created a musical tapestry of sound. Exploring the light, the dark, heavy and silence. Bringing in influences from Metal, 70's prog, jazz, and classical. Their debut album was recorded at the Terrarium recording studio in Minneapolis.Recorded live in 5 days with very minimal overdubs. The emotion and ensemble are paramount on these tracks, and the audible journey reflects the passion in which these songs were performed and captured.

Masterpiece!
Fantastic album ! Five amazing instrumental compositions full of emotions and feelings. The album reminds of great 70s. The compositions are recorded very well with a good quality of sound. Great rythm section of drums and bass in association with keyoards and guitar solos, together create fantastic record which makes a listener move to another world of sounds. What is more the band treat their fans kindly and with a large respect. I wish there were more bands like OVRFWRD. I recommend Beyond the Visible Light to everyone who likes music on a great level and to those who would like to go on a great journey of the sounds!
