Album Notes
Here is a classic mid-century style Christmas pop album recorded in 2007!

Christmastime holds many meanings and special memories for many people. For me, Christmastime holds the recollection of my very first public singing performance. I'll never forget how nervouse I was warbling "Silent Night" as a 14-year old freshman at my high school's 1983 Christmas program (especially since a kid in the choir behind me kept poking me in an effort to make me mess up)! Nevertheless, I kept my composure and survived the presentation, not realizing that pivotal moment was the beginning of a joyous pastime that would eventually blossom into a gratifying singing career!

For my gifted collaborator and orchestrator of this album Sean Baker, Christmastime holds the fond memory of creating two wonderful holiday songs for the Singing Hoosiers during our college days at Indiana University in 1992: "Hoosier Holiday," a tribute to our Indiana heritage that could easily pass for a promotional theme for the state's tourism campaign, and "The First Gift," which Sean originally created with mutual friends Heather Skiver and Jay Denhart (that has now been reincarnated for this album as "The Best Gift").

Whatever Christmastime holds for you, on behalf of everyone involved with this project, I want to thank you for including us in your holiday activities! The significance of this honor is not lost on us, and for that reason we have striven to do our best to fashion an album that will not only help you and yours celebrate the season, but also create fond memories, too! This collection consists of our own unique presentations of many old favorites (as well as a few new tunes) we hope you'll enjoy for many years to come!

Happy Holidays,
Peter Oprisko

A 1950's/1960's Styled Crooner Masterpiece
This christmas cd by Peter Oprisko is the real deal in the christmas 'crooner' music of yesteryear. It takes you back to the beautiful christmas albums that were put out in the 1950's and 1960's by such singers as (and especially) Frank Sinatra but also Perry Como, Dean Martin, etc..... I mean, everything about this cd is like that old christmas sound, from Peter Oprisko's absolutely perfect 'crooner' singing to the wonderful orchestra of Sean Baker who has a very strong Henry Mancini style to his music, and even a wonderful chorus that backs Peter Oprisko up so wonderfully. This 'full crooner sound' is something that is rare these days with christmas music and this is easily my favorite christmas recording of the past several decades and even one of my favorite christmas recordings of all-time.

Every song is great here, no weak ones which means no skipping one song to get to the next great one. The last two songs are beautiful instrumentals from Sean Baker.

Two new songs that deserve mention here are IT'S CHRISTMASTIME which is also probably my favorite song if I were to pick one on this cd. It sounds so much like a song that could have been written back in the 1950's or 1960's. HOOSIER
HOLIDAY is also a fantastic new song and really moves nicely. Very, very beautiful and would give IT'S CHRISTMASTIME a run for it's money in the best song on this cd.

100% recommended.
