ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Nicke is a nickname I was given as a kid, I actually didn't like it back then but now I can see the charm of the name. Key to everything I do is my transmission of real and often variable inputs. Not constrained by genre when I'm producing or DJing, I just go with the basic idea that good music is good music, there is no separation.

I have been around music since I was a kid, playing guitar from the age of 10 and even been growling in a metal band for some time. I started to produce for myself in 2013 and my first release of music was in 2013, but under a different name and a way different approach then now. This was sort of the time of learning the basics of producing, mixing and figuering everything out. I'm not really sure I still understand all the basics and I'm still learning everytime I work on a project, but I feel that I have a better understanding now who I am as an aritst. And so I came to the conclusion in May of 2019 that I was wandering away in a different direction than before and "maturing" as an artist and I felt I needed fresh air in my creativity and a change of name to solidify this transfer came about.

Like alot of perople, I have been listening to a vast amount of different genres of music growing up and my inspiration of slight fusion in genres when I'm producing therefor comes kind of naturally to me. I have been all over the place, taking inspiration from music ranging in genres from Jazz to Metal to whatever comes to your mind. I have a desire of not being put in a musical pattern and I'm not really a big fan of genres cause I feel it's really limiting to label something. I understand the concept of genres to simplify and make it easier for us as listeners to comprehend what we are about to listen to or are listening to at the moment, but in the end it's all music; frequencies creating feeling and emotions and is leading language of communication.
