Album Notes
Nectarine is uneasy music born from an uneasy mind. A bleeding heart liberal based in Houston, TX - Matthew Potter has been composing and recording experimental electronic music as both a reaction to and an escape from the current state of our nation.

Built around computer generated beats and homemade circuit bent instruments, Nectarine's music is dense and complex, familiar and foreign. Glitchy beats collide with children's xylophones and broken toys to create a pastiche of sounds that has been called "paranoid", "chaotic" and "enticing" by listeners.

Nectarine released its first demo EP, Parallelograms, via electronic download in December 2005, available for free at ring.mod is his first full length LP...

Nectarine is currently preparing an EP for Houston based American Wandering Club Records scheduled for a late 2007 release.

Thomas Ayresol

music for 2055
Nectarine put together a great cd; it seems to grow on me each time I put it on. This is what everybody in their air cars will be listening to in 2055. I enjoy the dreamlike mood, and the manipulation of sampling, bending, and beats is very smooth. Nectarine creates deceptive simplicity from more complex structures, all with a very clean sound quality on the recording.

Nectarine is the best electronic music I've heard in a long time.

Broad spectrum electronic wonderland
Catchy beats to groove to. Quirky stuff to think to. You could chill or go berserk depending on what track you land on. Circuit and mind bending journey.

Electronic Wizard Indeed aka Who needs Drugs
Definitely an enjoyable excursion into the world of electro glitchism and ambient force pushing. I really like Trip-Tych and Salmonella. But hey, the trip really takes you from the beginning. I'd say by the time you reach A Far Away Idea you should be thoroughly stoned and blown . . . away.
