ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Few artists in the Midwest possess the lyrical and writing skills, stage presence, experience and image, to excel in today's music industry. Mony Karlo possesses all of those traits and much more. Born and raised in Gary Indiana, Remon "Money" Bell was first influenced by legends such as Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, N.W.A. and Tupac Shakur. They were a few of the factors inspiring Mony to pursue a rap career. which started in 1993. His first experience was as a co-founder of the rap group Outside. Outside had success performing in venues such as The Savoy (Gary IN), Muskegon High School (Muskegon MI), Color Blind (Ft. Wayne IN), Katie's Lounge (Ft. Wayne IN ), and the Scottish Rite Auditorium (Ft. Wayne IN). Opening for artist such as Twista, Monica, Crucial Conflict, Lil Kim, The Snypas and Ras Kass. Outside received airplay on the following radio stations; WJFX Ft. Wayne IN, WGUE (Gary IN), WKKC (Chicago IL), WNOV ( Milwaukee WI), KMOJ (Minneapolis MN) and Lima Ohio's urban station. Outside obtained success with two singles called "Flow On" and "Easy Come Easy Go". In 1995 Mony met a fellow rapper named C.O. the Bad Black. Mony and C.O. made future plans to record together. They coined the name Themolishun (pronounced Demolition). In 1997 Mony broke away from Outside to start persuing his solo career, but found himself featured on other artist projects. In 1998 Mony released the song "We Gonna Party Tonight" which was featured on the Live and Die in GI movie soundtrack. Mony appeared in several movies including the later, Original Gangstas and When Thugs Cry. In 2000 Mony teamed up with CO who introduced him to Soundmaster T ("Too Much Booty in the Pants") and Ja-Rista (formerly of the Mercenaries). They formed a new project called The Swamp family. The Swamp Family has since opened for Ludacris, Redman, Big Daddy Kane, Twista, Do or Die and Psycho Drama. They performed at venue's such as Hawthorne Race Track (Chicago IL), E2's (Chicago IL), in Dallas TX, Mascoe's (Osolo MS), The Hard Rock Cafe (Memphis TN) and The Univ of IL (Champainge IL). The Swamp Family was featured on the Greg Street Show on 107.9 in Atlanta GA. HHN pre-released the single's Stop That! Very nice.. this cd is a keeper, but the only problem is I live in Vegas so how can I get new material of MONY?? I like the tracks with the smooth flow, I'm not in to all that bounce that A$$ club hollerin shoutin music. But for the most part he does keep it flowin!! Tightest track would have to be Trippin Again. 4 STARS

Mony's got everybody faded!
This is Mony's debut album called 4 Da Luv of $. Hot Tracks are: The South Side Connection smash "Where U From?", "I'm Good!" featuring P.O.T. and the slow jam phoenom "Don't Go". Albums hot, something for the hardcore rap fan, radio/club type and the mental armchair lyrisist...... Mony's got you faded!
