Album Notes
MJ a.k.a Miles Jones grew up in his hometown Toronto surrounded by music from a very young age. His interest in music creation and appreciation is very deeply rooted as a part of his family heritage. His Grandfather, Hedley Jones Sr. built Studio One in Jamaica which was the early recording home to reggae legend Bob Marley along with many others. His father, (Deadly) Hedley Jones Jr. came from Jamaica to Toronto in 1969 and began working in the radio industry eventually pioneering Toronto 's DJ club scene during the late 1980's. Miles remembers, “Both my mother and father played music all the time in our house, from Miles Davis to Stevie Wonder, and it became a part of me.”

In 2004 Miles wrote eleven songs for BMG's music catalogue as a part of the Canadian Idol writers conference. He also got his first production credit in February 2005 on Mike Ford's album titled,'Canada Needs You.' In spring of 2006 Mj alongside his live band performed at the North by Northeast music festival and were written up in NOW as "one of the weekends better shows."

Miles graduated from McMaster University in 2006 with his honours degree in Multimedia and Communication. His senior thesis project included his debut album, 'ONE CHANCE' which was reviewed by NOW magazine, Hamilton's The VIEW, and Toronto's Beach Metro Publication. ONE CHANCE is currently available across HMV and indigo outlets nation wide.

Great album.
Great CD. Catchy songs that appeal to a broad audience, not just hip hop fans.

The album is GOLD
The CD is hot, its got the feel of oldschool Tribe Called Quest heat, mixed with the catchy sound of like Kanye. Anyways, there are alot of great tracks on this album, The Intro, The Boom Boom, and Get Up are my personal favorites. The CD is definately worth a purchase, and its been in heavy rotation since I bought it.

Wikid rhymes, big tracks, well needed.
One chance is a well needed addition to the hip hop scene. This album has popin production, hot rhymes and a collection of styles that make this album so great. From strait club banger (The Boom Boom) to soulful more meaningful tracks (Still Standing), this album has everything a true hip hop album should have... oh yeah and some flava for tha ladies ;) Definitley a solid album. Well worth it!

Absolutely Amazing!
Loved it! Knew the cd would be great, but had no idea how addicted I would become. It is ALWAYS playing in my house and I have been spreading the word over Japan. Congratulations!!!! Can't wait to hear it live again. I've become even more of a groupie.

Bangin Beats with smooth rhymes, Amazing production!
The beats on this CD are on a next level. Boom Bap Drums with wicked samples. Hip Hop needs something like this album in order to keep the true culture alive. Definitely worth the purchase !!!!

Very easy breezey sheezy listening feel to the record. The production is drenched in soulful samples and ecclectic instrumental sounds able to satisfy the pickiest bboy's rhythms, while the emcee takes your head, shoulder and boomboom bumping on a dance move. And I'm still trying to get over the intro. This album is a good example of why I'm married to Hip Hop.
