Album Notes
Michi (born August 13, 1987) is an American award-winning singer-songwriter and producer whose music spans multiple genres. As of 2019, Michi has released one full-length album, two singles, and has ranked #1 Virginia, #1 Washington D.C., #3 United States and #5 on the Global Folk Music Charts.

Michi started playing guitar at an early age and her music history has been moving forward ever since. At the age of two, she started teaching herself voice and guitar. Her debut album, Change, was released to critical acclaim yet achieved limited commercial success. Michi garnered wider recognition with the release of her 2007 single "Change," from her album of the same name. Change was awarded the title song of a full-length feature film and earned 8th place in a U.S. national songwriting competition.

Michi and her band have opened for numerous international recording artists including: Miley Cyrus, Carly Rae Jepsen, Meghan Trainor, Alessia Cara, Betty Who, Troye Sivan, Kelly Rowland, Chely Wright & Icona Pop.

​In addition to music, Michi is a community outreach and diversity inclusion activist and helps raise money & awareness for LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS service organizations worldwide through speaking engagements and benefit concerts. She is a nine-time consecutive main stage performer at the U.S. Capital Pride Festival in Washington D.C., and has sold out venues in thirteen countries and counting.
