ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
]In the late sixties and early seventies these talented Miami Soul Sisters appeared on Henry Stone’s assorted labels, Alston, Dade, Dash, Drive, Glades, Marlin and a few others. Miami girls had a unique sound of pure soul and natural born talent due to gospel by way of singing in chuch. Male groups got more attention because they could stay out late at night under the street lights crooning till the break of day. Girl groups were restricted to home under supervision of family and relatives; to see or hear them in a club was very rare. Due to the efforts of Henry Stone of TK Records and producers Willie Clarke and Clarence Reid, these young ladies got a chance to be heard on the air. Now they can be heard on Volume 1 and 2 of the fabulous soulful sounds of Miami Soul Sisters.
