Stuart Cameron's HOTDISC Newsletter

It's been said that fate predetermines our path in life regardless of our best laid plans. This statement couldn't be more true in the case of Country Music singer/songwriter T. Paul Matson who has just released his new single, So Alone, on the January 2006 Hotdisc.

In 1997, T. Paul went to Nashville to record six songs at the request of the manager of the band Confederate Railroad. He was on the brink of a deal only to be let down. Because of this he temporarily walked away from pursuing his career. Three years on he came to Nashville to try again. However, he had to cancel his plans when his mother was diagnosed with Terminal Brain Cancer. Over the next few years, T. Paul became passionate about counselling cancer patients and put his music career on hold.

In early 2002 T. Paul met Chet Atkins' former manager Fred Kewley. Fred believed that T. Pauls' tradional country sound was coming back into style and that he should pursue his career. Once again, fate stepped in when T. Paul's boss suffered a heart attack. His career was again on hold. In May 2002, T. Paul had a track on Hotdisc after being recommended by Victor Gray of Cobweb Records who at the time was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. When their paths crossed, T. Paul counselled Victor through his treatments while Victor started promoting T. Paul's music.

Victor chose to release "I Won't Fall Down" - a song written in defiance of the corrupt nature of the Music Industry in Nashville and reached #22 on the EMS Independent Country Charts.

Now T. Paul has resurfaced again with the release of his current single which is in the Hotdisc Charts. T. Paul has finally focused some of his attention on making his music available to the public but only on his terms. After seeing the pitfalls of the entertainment industry first hand, he is grateful for the Internet and the DJs & Music Magazines who have supported him.

From the first time I heard this CD, I was immediately in awe of T. Paul Matson\'s voice and his lyrics. His music is not only inspiring but his voice will leave you with a feeling of comfort and exhiliration. Here is a singer/song writer that compares with the greatest country music stars of today and yesterday. There is no doubt he will be on top of the music charts soon!

T. Paul has a powerful voice! My wife will love this CD - I think he is a mix of Alan Jackson and Josh Turner. Keep cranking out the music!!
