ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
When Marty Rhone first appeared on stage at 17, Feb 18 1966 on the Rolling Stones tour, they & the Beatles had been around for just 3 years. The first National Service conscripts fly out from Richmond RAAF base in Sydney bound for the Vietnam War. Marty, himself, will be conscripted within four years. Decimal currency in Australia is launched and Harold Holt replaces Sir Robert Menzies as Prime Minister. Simon & Garfunkel’s Sounds of Silence was #1 as was the Beatles Rubber Soul album. Fast forward 50 years & over that time Marty Rhone has accumulated an incredible career that has included, theatre, television, film, international live performances; on the London stage, in Asia & the US and had two #1 hit records; Denim & Lace & A Mean Pair of Jeans. Marty Rhone has performed with, and in front of, some of the biggest names in entertainment and for royalty including the late Princess Grace of Monaco, the late King Hussein of Jordon and the British Royal family. This album celebrates a stellar career, from his very first commercial recording Nature Boy in 1966 over six decades to 2013. Whether it’s acting, or singing, Marty Rhone has done it all and with great panache.
