ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This project was themed around the 2000s comedy show Chappelle with emphasis on Tyrone Biggums character. Each track displays the letter of strides. Start the journey of STRIDES 2 by showing remnants of STRIDES 1 on the intro of the first record, Story Of Lamarcus. With a 90s sample in the Coolio classic Keenan and Kel theme song, you will hear Marsiell get personal talking about his long embellished friend from childhood who escaped danger and hit his stride. Being a grade A finesse king takes skill and Marsiell displays that on TGIF with its 3 meanings of "Thank God I'm Fresh, Thank God I finessed and Tyrone Gave it Filtered".Tyrone being Tyrone Biggums filtered out a conversation he had with kids letting them know that drugs can ruin their life when Marsiell flips this idea and says that you can finesse and be dope and take over any idea and arrive at any solution you want if you work towards and focus on. Reflections titles back on times of depression, insecurities and anxiety that just artist in question experience but all artists of any genre. Its Ovens and ovens take time to cook food. Who microwaves anymore? That is too quick and too rushed when a legend and seasoned vet takes time to cook and be served proper. Every city in America has damaged petals and with the help of Indianapolis artists' Marsiell, Double A and DisTinct, they will quickly remind you of all the roses that appear to be perfect but have damaged petals. The essence of a young black man in America can be explained through the lens of a black man who has experienced all of the lyrics written and composed on the track. Lastly, with Marsiell hitting his STRIDE he believes he very comfortable with himself and hasn't and will not sell out so he champions in Indianapolis producer and artist to provide and base and an uptempo track titled So Long Hollywood to signify that he hasn't faked anything and will continue to push to inspire and push past the degenerates.
