ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Margaret Owens is a Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter and actress who began her career performing musical theatre and studying at the acclaimed Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City. She also graduated from Musicians Institute in Hollywood (where she was classmates with Jami Lula) and began performing at clubs throughout Los Angeles, recording her first two albums, and creating music for film, television and commercials.

She was a featured performer in two major Las Vegas revues, where she worked with Grammy winner Rick Springfield, who then lent his voice to a duet on one of her two country-pop CD’s. She also met Rev. Doug Foglesong at the First Church of Religious Science there, and become the music minister for his Wednesday night service – writing songs to support his talks, and then recording her first inspirational CD, “Gettin’ Comfortable in My Skin.”

She then moved back to California, and has been performing at New Thought churches around the country for the past four years, recording two more full-length CD’s in the process. The most recent, “Seeking My Good,” is also the soundtrack to a one-woman musical she created with two-time Emmy-winning writer/producer Erik Bork. (You can see it on Youtube, along with her semi-weekly performances of “Fireside Songs with Margaret.”) She’s currently working on a new CD, "It's Supposed to be Fun!" Margaret and her music have been praised by the many ministers who have shared the stage with her as, “unparalleled… a sermon unto itself… truly evokes an energy of transformation, inspiration, and healing.”
